10 Fall Pie Crust Designs
Throw some leaves and pumpkins on your pie and top it with an adorable fall banner.
Don’t Stop Be-leaf-in’
No such thing as too many leaves. All you need is a bit of patience and a lot of pie crust dough.
Watercolored Fall Leaves
Use a bit of watercoloring (aka food coloring) to add fall colors to your pie crust.
Puns on pie are always a good idea. Letter cutouts are essential, unless you have the hands of a surgeon.
Pumpkin pie may not have a top crust, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add a few embellishments. I love these with leaves, pumpkins, and cranberry decorations.
Mini Fall Pies
Make your mini pies even more adorable with a big leaf and a tiny braid.
Hope you feel inspired! There’s more where that came from. Follow @allspiceblog on instagram for all the essential pie tips and inspiration this pie season.

How do you get your leaves and decorations to hold the shape when the pie is being baked??
Hi Savannah! I usually freeze the leaves for 5 minutes or so before I add them to the pie. I find that helps them preserve their shape when baking. I also like to brush them with an egg wash when the pie is almost done cooking to give the leaves that nice golden brown look. (Similar to how you brush a lattice crust topping with an egg wash!) Good luck!
Thank you! Happy fall!
