Equipment

  • Basting brush

Ingredients
  

  • Fresh salmon fillets (wild-caught if possible)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • Optional: Herbs such as dill, thyme, or rosemary for added flavor
  • Lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Set your grill's temperature to medium-high.
  • Using paper towels, gently pat dry the salmon fillets.
  • Add salt and pepper to the fillets after brushing them with olive oil on both sides.
  • On the grill, place the salmon skin-side down. Cook the salmon on the grill for 4–5 minutes on each side, or until it is cooked through and flake easily with a fork.
  • If desired, scatter chopped herbs on top of the salmon and spray it with lemon juice during the final minute of grilling.
  • Before serving, take the salmon from the grill and let it a few minutes to rest.
