- 2 cups dried navy beans
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 6 cups water
Rinse the navy beans and soak them overnight in a large bowl.
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
Drain and rinse the soaked beans. Place them in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Simmer for 30 minutes, then drain.
In a bowl, mix molasses, brown sugar, ketchup, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and ground cloves.
