Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans (15 ounces each) of navy beans or your preferred bean variety, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 4-6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions
 

  • Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).Ketchup, molasses, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper should all be combined in a mixing bowl.
  • To the sauce mixture, add the cooked bacon (if using), diced onion, and drained and rinsed beans.
  • Mix until thoroughly covered.Spoon the bean mixture into a baking dish that is ovenproof.
  • Wrap in aluminum foil.Bake for forty-five minutes in a preheated oven.
  • After 15 more minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your preferred consistency and the beans are bubbling, remove the foil and continue baking.
  • Before serving, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool somewhat.
