- 2 cans (15 ounces each) of navy beans or your preferred bean variety, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 4-6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped (optional, for added flavor)
Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).Ketchup, molasses, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper should all be combined in a mixing bowl.
To the sauce mixture, add the cooked bacon (if using), diced onion, and drained and rinsed beans.
Mix until thoroughly covered.Spoon the bean mixture into a baking dish that is ovenproof.
Wrap in aluminum foil.Bake for forty-five minutes in a preheated oven.
After 15 more minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your preferred consistency and the beans are bubbling, remove the foil and continue baking.
Before serving, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool somewhat.
