- 1 wheel of brie cheese (8-10 ounces)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds or pecans)
- 1/4 cup dried fruits (apricots, cranberries, or figs)
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Optional: fresh herbs for garnish
Adjust the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and place parchment paper on a baking pan.
Using a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to the desired size for your brie wheel.
The center of the pastry sheet should include the brie wheel.Evenly cover the top of the brie with honey.
Over the honey, scatter the chopped nuts and dried fruits.Seal the brie completely by folding the puff pastry edges over it.
To give the pastry a golden sheen, brush it with beaten egg. Bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the cheese is oozy and the crust is golden brown.
