Banana Milk Recipe

Pinklady
Banana milk might seem like a modern health trend, but its origins are deeply rooted in tropical cultures where bananas are a staple food. In regions like Southeast Asia and South America, bananas have long been blended with water or milk to create refreshing beverages.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Glasses for serving

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas (for natural sweetness and creaminess)
  • 2 cups of water (or plant-based milk like almond or oat milk for extra richness)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • A pinch of cinnamon (optional, for flavor enhancement)
  • A few ice cubes (optional, for a chilled drink)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients:
Peel the bananas and break them into smaller chunks for easy blending.
Measure out your liquid base (water or plant-based milk).
  • Blend:
Add the banana chunks to the blender.
Pour in the liquid base. Start with 2 cups, but you can adjust the quantity based on your desired consistency.
If you like your drink sweeter, add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup.
For an extra flavor twist, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon into the mix.
Toss in a few ice cubes if you want your banana milk cold.
  • Blend Until Smooth:
Blend the ingredients on high speed for about 30-60 seconds until you achieve a smooth, creamy texture. Ensure there are no banana chunks left.
  • Taste and Adjust:
Taste the banana milk and adjust the sweetness or thickness as needed. You can add more liquid if it’s too thick or more banana if it’s too thin.
  • Serve:
Pour the banana milk into glasses and serve immediately. For an aesthetic touch, you can garnish with a banana slice or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
