Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 12 oz (1 bottle) beer (any type)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Turn on the Oven: Set the oven's temperature to 375°F, or 190°C.Get the Dry Ready Ingredients: In a large mixing basin, mix together 1/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and 3 cups all-purpose flour. Blend thoroughly.
  • Pour the beer in gradually, starting with the 12-ounce bottle. Using a wooden spoon, stir the ingredients until it's barely mixed.
  • The batter should have some lumps, so take care not to overmix.To prepare the loaf pan, either grease or line a 9 by 5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.Pour the Batter: Evenly pour the batter into the loaf pan that has been ready.
  • Optional Butter Topping: Sprinkle 1/4 cup of melted butter on top of the batter for a more flavorful finish.Bake the Bread: Bake the loaf pan for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Preheat the oven.
  • Cool and Serve: After letting the bread cool in the pan for ten minutes, move it to a wire rack to finish cooling. Cut into slices and serve warm or cold.
