Ingredients
  

  • 4 large potatoes (russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, melted butter, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper.
  • Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish. Spread half of the cheese mixture evenly over the potatoes.
  • Repeat with the remaining potatoes and cheese mixture, creating layers. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
