Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Airtight container for storage

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard, and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard. These will form the creamy and tangy base of the sauce.
  • Stir in 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce. This gives the sauce its smoky flavor, which perfectly balances the sweetness of the honey.
  • Add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder. The lemon juice adds a bit of tanginess, while the garlic powder gives it some depth.
  • Taste the sauce and add salt and pepper to your liking. You can also adjust the other ingredients if you want it sweeter, smokier, or tangier.
  • Using a whisk or spoon, stir the mixture until it’s smooth and all ingredients are fully combined. The sauce should have a creamy consistency.
  • You can serve your homemade Chick-fil-A sauce immediately, or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. This makes it great for meal prep or casual snacking.
