Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk9-inch pie dish or baking dish
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère work well)
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon, ham, or sausage (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (spinach, bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional, for color and flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the pan)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish with butter to prevent sticking.
  • In a mixing bowl, crack the 6 eggs and whisk until fully blended. Add 1 cup of heavy cream or whole milk and continue whisking until combined. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (if using).
  • Stir in the shredded cheese, crumbled cooked bacon (or ham/sausage), and your choice of vegetables.
  • Popular options include sautéed spinach, bell peppers, mushrooms, or onions. Make sure your vegetables are pre-cooked to avoid adding excess moisture to the quiche.
  • Once everything is combined, pour the egg mixture into the greased pie dish, making sure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden. You can check doneness by inserting a toothpick or knife into the center—it should come out clean.
  • Let It Cool and Serve
Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
