- Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 container (8 ounces) whipped topping (Cool Whip)

Crush the Oreos: Put the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they're fine crumbs. Alternatively, put them in a sealed plastic bag and smash with a rolling pin.
Prepare the Cream Mixture: In a mixing dish, combine the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and beat until thoroughly mixed.
Make the Pudding: In a separate bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk. Whisk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
Combine Cream Mixtures: Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until thoroughly mixed. Then, fold in the prepared pudding until thoroughly combined.
Make the Dirt Cake: Spread half of the smashed Oreo cookies equally in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Pour the cream mixture over the cookie layer, spreading it evenly. Top with the remaining crushed Oreo cookies.
Chill: Put the prepared dirt cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour to set.Decorate: Before serving, top with gummy worms to complete the "dirt" effect.
