Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 pound ground pork or chicken
  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour and water to form a dough. Knead until smooth, then cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • In another bowl, mix together ground pork or chicken, cabbage, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles using a cookie cutter or glass.
  • Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper.
  • Fold the wrapper in half and seal the edges by pressing firmly with your fingers or using a dumpling mold.
  • To cook, you can either steam the dumplings for 8-10 minutes or pan-fry them until golden brown on each side.
