Originating from Mexico, fajitas have a rich history dating back to the early 1930s. Originally made from throwaway cuts of beef, fajitas were a creative way for Mexican vaqueros (cowboys) to enjoy flavorful meals using affordable ingredients.

- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper for extra heat
In a mixing bowl, combine chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
Mix well until all spices are evenly incorporated.
Store the fajita seasoning in an airtight container until ready to use.
