- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 ½ cups of fruit juice (pick your favorite flavor!)
- 1 tablespoon of gelatin
- ½ cup of cornstarch
- ¼ cup of powdered sugar (for coating)
In a saucepan, combine sugar and fruit juice over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Sprinkle gelatin over the mixture and stir until it's fully dissolved.
Bring the mixture to a boil, using a candy thermometer to reach 240°F (soft ball stage).
Pour the mixture into greased molds or a square baking dish.
Allow it to set for a few hours or overnight.
Once set, cut the gumdrops into bite-sized pieces and toss them in a mixture of cornstarch and powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
