Equipment

  • Roasting pan
  • Small saucepan
  • Basting brush
  • Sharp knife

Ingredients

  • 1 bone-in ham, preferably around 8-10 pounds
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Place the ham in a roasting pan, cut side down.
  • Score the surface of the ham with a sharp knife in a diamond pattern.
  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Heat over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  • Brush the glaze over the surface of the ham, ensuring it gets into the scored cuts.
  • Bake the ham in the preheated oven, uncovered, for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C), basting with the glaze every 30 minutes.
  • Once cooked, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
