Equipment

  • 1 Coffee maker
  • 1 Sauce pan
  • 1 Shaker or large glass
  • 1 Stirring spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 oz of tequila (silver or reposado)
  • 4 oz of brewed coffee (strong and chilled)
  • 1 oz of simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Brew the Coffee:

  • Start by brewing a strong pot of coffee. Use your preferred brewing method, such as a French press or drip coffee maker, and adjust the quantity according to the number of servings desired. Let the coffee cool to room temperature and then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill. You can also use already made or ready coffee.

Prepare the Simple Syrup:

  • In a small saucepan, combine equal parts of water and granulated sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove the syrup from heat and let it cool before using. This simple syrup will add a touch of sweetness to the drink. It's not compulsory if you don't like it.

Mix the Ingredients:

  • In a shaker or large glass, combine the chilled coffee, tequila, and simple syrup. Add the simple syrup gradually, tasting as you go to achieve the desired level of sweetness. Stir gently to combine the ingredients.

Add Ice:

  • Fill a glass with ice cubes to the brim. This will ensure that your Iced Coffee Tequila stays chilled and refreshing.

Pour and Garnish:

  • Pour the mixed Iced Coffee Tequila over the ice cubes in the glass. For an extra touch of indulgence, you can top it off with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle some chocolate shavings or cocoa powder on top.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Serve the Iced Coffee Tequila immediately while it's cold and refreshing. Sip and savor the harmonious blend of coffee and tequila flavors. Feel free to experiment with garnishes or variations, such as adding a hint of cinnamon or a splash of vanilla extract.
