Whisk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fillings of your choice (e.g., cheese, vegetables, ham, mushrooms, herbs)
Add milk, if using, to a mixing bowl after cracking the eggs. Mix thoroughly with a whisk.
In a nonstick skillet set over medium heat, add a little amount of butter or oil. Pour the beaten eggs into the hot pan and tilt it to ensure that the mixture is distributed evenly
Let the eggs simmer for one or two minutes, or until the edges begin to firm.
Spoon one side of the omelette with your preferred contents. Using a spatula, gently fold the remaining omelette in half over the fillings to form a half-moon.
Cook for one further minute, or until the ingredients are heated through and the omelette is cooked through. Transfer the omelette onto a platter with caution, and serve it hot.
