Equipment

  • Crock pot (slow cooker)
  • Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef and cook until browned. Transfer the beef to your crock pot.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the sliced onions and green bell peppers until they're tender and slightly caramelized. Add them to the crock pot.
  • Pour Worcestershire sauce over the beef, onions, and peppers. Give it a good stir to combine the flavors.
  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4-6 hours. This slow cooking will make the beef tender and allow the flavors to meld beautifully.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, preheat your oven and toast the hoagie rolls. Once they're slightly crispy, layer each roll with slices of provolone cheese.
  • Using a slotted spoon, heap the juicy beef, onion, and pepper mixture onto the cheesy rolls.
  • Serve up your Philly Cheese Steak crock pot creations with a side of fries, chips, or a fresh salad.
