Ingredients
  

  • Flour or corn tortillas
  • Shredded cheese (commonly Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
  • Optional fillings: cooked chicken, beef, shrimp, beans, vegetables (bell peppers, onions, tomatoes), herbs (cilantro, parsley), spices (cumin, chili powder)
  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Instructions
 

  • Prep the Ingredients: Gather all the ingredients and prepare any fillings you'll be using.
  • Heat the Pan: Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or oil.
  • Assemble the Quesadillas: Lay a tortilla flat on the skillet, sprinkle a generous amount of cheese over one half of the tortilla, and add any desired fillings.
  • Fold and Cook: Fold the tortilla in half to cover the fillings, pressing down gently with a spatula. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve: Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and cut into wedges. Serve hot with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream on the side.
