- 1 pound (450g) of Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 cup (240ml) of milk
- 1 can (10 ounces) of diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
- Optional toppings: diced jalapeƱos, chopped cilantro, or crumbled cooked bacon
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cubed Velveeta cheese and milk. Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.
Add the diced tomatoes with green chilies, cumin, and chili powder to the melted cheese mixture. Stir well to combine.
Continue to cook the queso for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and well blended.
Once the queso is hot and bubbly, remove it from the heat and transfer it to a serving dish.
Garnish with your choice of toppings, such as diced jalapeƱos, chopped cilantro, or crumbled cooked bacon.
