Griddle or large skillet
Spatula
Burger press (optional)
- Ground beef (preferably 80/20 blend for optimal juiciness)
- Salt and pepper
- Burger buns
- Cheese slices (American cheese works well)
- Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, etc.)
- Condiments (mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, etc.)
Heat a sizable skillet or griddle to medium-high temperature. Make equal pieces of the ground meat and roll them into balls.
Sprinkle little salt and pepper on each ball.
After putting a meat ball onto the heated griddle, quickly flatten it using a spatula to form a thin patty.
Fry for two to three minutes, or until the bottom is crispy and browned.
When the cheese has melted, flip the patty, add a slice, and cook for a further one to two minutes.
On the griddle, toast the hamburger buns.
Place the patties on the buns and top with your preferred condiments and toppings to assemble the burgers.
