- 1 cup of light soy sauce
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
- Pinch of black pepper
In a saucepan, combine the light soy sauce and water over medium heat.
Stir in the brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, and a pinch of black pepper.
Bring the mixture to a simmer and continue to cook for about 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, pour the low sodium soy sauce into a glass jar or bottle for storage.
