Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup of light soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, combine the light soy sauce and water over medium heat.
  • Stir in the brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, and a pinch of black pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer and continue to cook for about 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Once cooled, pour the low sodium soy sauce into a glass jar or bottle for storage.
