  • 1 cup condensed milk

  • Prepare the Pan: Line a baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring the sides are covered for easy removal.
  • Melt Butter: In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add Sugar: Stir in the granulated sugar until it dissolves, creating a smooth mixture.
  • Incorporate Condensed Milk: Pour in the condensed milk, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
  • Temperature Check: Attach the candy thermometer to the pan. Cook the mixture until it reaches 280°F (138°C), stirring occasionally.
  • Vanilla Essence: Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, stirring well.
  • Pour and Cool: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Let it cool at room temperature until firm.
  • Cut into Pieces: Once cooled, cut the toffee into bite-sized pieces.
