Ingredients
  

  • 6 medium-sized apples (preferably Granny Smith or any tart variety)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small cubes
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  • Use cooking spray or butter to grease a baking dish.After peeling and cored, cut the apples into thin wedges.
  • Transfer them into a mixing basin.Combine the ground cinnamon and granulated sugar in a small bowl.
  • After uniformly coating the cut apples, sprinkle this mixture over them and toss.
  • Spread out the coated apples equally in the baking dish that has been prepared.
  • Brown sugar, rolled oats, all-purpose flour, and a small teaspoon of salt should all be combined in a different bowl.
  • Blend thoroughly.
  • To the flour mixture, add the cooled butter cubes.
  • To get a crumbly texture, cut the butter into the dry ingredients using a fork or pastry blender.
  • Entirely cover the apples in the baking dish with the crumb mixture.
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  • Remove the apple crumble from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
