- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast
- ¾ cup warm milk
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
For the Chocolate Filling
- ¾ cup dark chocolate, melted
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
Prepare the DoughIn a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix well.Add warm milk, egg, and butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.Knead the dough for about 10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes using a stand mixer with a dough hook until it becomes smooth and elastic. Let the Dough RisePlace the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size. Prepare the FillingMelt the dark chocolate in a microwave or over a double boiler.Stir in cocoa powder and sugar until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
