Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups mix-ins (chocolate chips, pretzels, potato chips, oats, etc.)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture, mixing well.
  • Fold in your mix-ins until evenly distributed.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
