Pastry brush (optional)
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (60g) condensed milk
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp (7g) instant yeast
- 1/2 cup (120ml) warm milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup (56g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp butter (for brushing, optional)
Prepare the DoughIn a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, condensed milk, and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.Sprinkle the instant yeast over the mixture and let it sit for 5 minutes, until frothy.Add the egg, softened butter, salt, and half of the flour. Mix well.Gradually add the remaining flour, mixing until a dough forms. If using a stand mixer, attach the dough hook and knead on medium speed for 8-10 minutes. If kneading by hand, work the dough on a floured surface for about 12 minutes, until smooth and elastic. First RiseShape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly greased bowl.Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a damp kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size. Shape the DoughOnce risen, punch down the dough to release air bubbles.Divide the dough into three equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.Roll out each ball into a rectangle, then roll it up tightly like a jelly roll. Pinch the seams to seal.Arrange the rolls seam-side down in a greased loaf pan Second RiseCover the loaf pan with plastic wrap or a damp towel and let it rise again for 30 minutes, or until the dough has doubled in size and reaches just above the rim of the pan. Bake the BreadPreheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.Remove from the oven and brush the top with melted butter for extra softness and shine (optional).Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely
