Pinklady
The feta pasta craze began in Finland in 2019 when a food blogger, Jenni Häyrinen, shared her recipe called "Uunifetapasta," which translates to "Oven-baked feta pasta." The dish quickly gained popularity on social media, particularly on TikTok, where home cooks worldwide recreated the recipe.

- 200g (7 oz) feta cheese
- 500g (18 oz) cherry tomatoes
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
- 300g (10.5 oz) pasta (penne, fusilli, or any short pasta)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the block of feta cheese in the center of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Surround the feta with the cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle the minced garlic over the tomatoes and feta.
Drizzle the olive oil over the tomatoes and feta, ensuring everything is well coated. Sprinkle the dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper over the top.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tomatoes have burst and the feta is golden brown on top.
While the feta and tomatoes are baking, cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
Once the feta and tomatoes are done baking, remove the dish from the oven. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to crush the tomatoes and mix them with the melted feta, creating a creamy sauce.
Add the cooked pasta to the baking dish and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
Tear some fresh basil leaves and sprinkle them over the pasta. Serve the feta pasta hot, and enjoy the creamy, tangy flavors.
