For the Rice
- 2 cups cooked white or jasmine rice
For the Hamburger Patties:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Gravy:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Eggs:
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Cook the RicePrepare 2 cups of rice according to the package instructions. Keep it warm until ready to serve. Prepare the Hamburger PattiesIn a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, soy sauce, black pepper, and salt. Mix gently until well combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into round patties about 1/2 inch thick.Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and keep warm. Make the GravyIn the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden brown to make a roux. Gradually whisk in the beef broth, ensuring no lumps form.Add soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste.Let the gravy simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Fry the EggsHeat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a clean skillet over medium heat.Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your preference (sunny-side-up is traditional).
