Equipment

  • Grill or broiler
  • Mixing bowl
  • Ziplock bag or marinating container
  • Meat thermometer (optional)
  • Tongs

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of beef (flank steak or top round)
  • ½ cup of soy sauce
  • ¼ cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  • Marinate the Beef: Place the beef in a ziplock bag or marinating container and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the meat is fully coated. Seal the bag or container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  • Preheat the Grill or Broiler: Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat.
  • Cook the Beef: Remove the beef from the marinade and discard any excess marinade. Grill or broil the beef for about 6-8 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  • Rest and Serve: Once cooked to your liking, transfer the beef to a cutting board and let it rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Slice the beef thinly against the grain and serve hot.
