- 75g granulated sugar
- 2 large egg whites
- Food coloring (optional)
- Flavoring extracts (vanilla, almond, etc.)
Prepare Ingredients: Measure out all the ingredients and ensure they are at room temperature.
Sift Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar to remove any lumps.
Whip Egg Whites: Using an electric mixer, whip the egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
Fold Dry Ingredients: Gently fold the sifted dry ingredients into the whipped egg whites until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
Pipe Macarons: Transfer the batter into a piping bag fitted with a round tip and pipe small circles onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
Rest and Bake: Let the piped macarons rest at room temperature for 30 minutes to develop a skin, then bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15-18 minutes until they are set but not browned.
Cool and Fill: Allow the baked macarons to cool completely on the baking sheets before carefully removing them and filling them with your desired filling.
