Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ teaspoons of active dry yeast
  • 1½ cups of lukewarm water
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, dissolve the sugar in the lukewarm water and add the yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  • Add the olive oil to the yeast mixture.
  • Gradually add the flour while stirring with a wooden spoon until it forms a sticky dough.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface until it's smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough back in the bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise for an hour until it doubles in size.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Shape the dough into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  • Let it cool before slicing.
