- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2¼ teaspoons of active dry yeast
- 1½ cups of lukewarm water
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
In a mixing bowl, dissolve the sugar in the lukewarm water and add the yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add the olive oil to the yeast mixture.
Gradually add the flour while stirring with a wooden spoon until it forms a sticky dough.
Knead the dough on a floured surface until it's smooth and elastic.
Place the dough back in the bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise for an hour until it doubles in size.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
